About LDG Nepal
Nestled in the serene, verdant countryside of Dollu on the edge of the Kathmandu Valley, LDG Nepal is a peaceful sanctuary for Dharma activity and spiritual retreat. Just a short distance from Yangleshö—His Holiness Chatral Sangye Dorje Rinpoche’s seat and the sacred site where Guru Rinpoche attained realization—this retreat land was established by Loppön Rinpoche out of profound devotion to his Root Guru and deep compassion for all sentient beings.
The land is adorned with traditional hand-carved Newari stupas, sacred statues, and flourishing gardens, creating a luminous and contemplative atmosphere that invites practitioners to deepen their practice and reconnect with the heart of the Dharma.
Each year during Losar (Tibetan New Year) and in the autumn, Rinpoche visits the center, bringing with him a surge of blessings and spiritual vitality. His presence enlivens the land, inspiring sangha members, local practitioners, and pilgrims who gather to receive teachings and participate in practice under his guidance.
More than just a retreat center, LDG Nepal is a sacred offering—a place of refuge and inspiration, where practitioners are encouraged to reawaken their devotion, deepen their realization, and strengthen their determination on the Vajrayana path.
